Dear Ohio College Preparatory School Families,
The flu season is upon us. As a result, the number of reported cases of the flu/influenza is quickly rising. This letter is to inform you that there have been confirmed flu/influenza cases in the school and that your child(ren) may have been exposed.
The flu is very contagious and can spread from person to person by breathing in the droplets in a cough, sneeze or runny nose that contain the flu virus. People with the flu may be able to infect others by shedding virus from one day before getting sick to five to seven days after symptoms begin.
The flu comes on quickly. Most people with the flu feel very tired and may have a high fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills, fatigue, vomiting or diarrhea. If you suspect you or a family member is sick, contact your doctor for further evaluation as soon as possible.
In order to take every precaution necessary for the students and staff, Ohio College Preparatory School will be closed Thursday, February 6th and Friday, February 7th. During this time, we will be following all protocols to sanitize surfaces throughout our campus.
Please note, that all work assigned from today is due upon the commencement of classes.
Congratulations to Ohio College Preparatory School for being recognized by the Ohio Department of Education in the following areas:
